Video Alarm Terms of Use
1. Scope
These Terms govern your use of the mobile application "Video Alarm" (Korean name: 영상 모닝콜, the "App") provided by Blander (the "Developer"). By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. The service
- The App plays a YouTube video you choose, from the segment you set, at the time you set.
- The App works while it is open on screen (in the foreground). Locking the phone with the power button or switching to another app may prevent the alarm from ringing.
- An internet connection is required for video playback and subscription checks.
- Videos whose owner has restricted embedding open in the YouTube app. If a video cannot start, a built-in alarm tone rings instead.
3. Subscription
- The App's alarm features are provided as a paid subscription, which may include a free trial. The price, trial length, and billing period are shown on the App's subscription screen and in the App Store or Google Play.
- The subscription renews automatically on the same terms unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The charge for the next period is billed to your Apple ID or Google account.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. After cancelling you keep access until the end of the current period. No partial refunds are provided for the remaining period.
- Payments and refunds follow Apple's or Google's policies and procedures. The Developer never receives your payment details.
- Without an active subscription, alarms do not ring. The App shows your subscription status on screen.
4. Your responsibilities
- You must use videos in compliance with the YouTube Terms of Service and applicable law.
- You may not reverse engineer, copy, distribute, or resell the App, or use it in a way that infringes the Developer's rights.
- You are responsible for the device and accounts you use with the App.
5. Content and intellectual property
- Videos played in the App belong to YouTube and their respective rights holders. The Developer does not store or distribute videos.
- The App's design, code, and trademarks belong to the Developer. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC. The Developer is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
6. Limitation of liability
- The App is provided "as is". The Developer does not warrant that the App will operate without interruption or error.
- An alarm may fail to ring or ring late because the App was closed, the screen was locked, the battery ran out, device settings, network problems, a deleted or embedding-restricted video, or changes to YouTube or app store services. To the extent permitted by law, the Developer is not liable for damages resulting from a missed alarm.
- For important events, we recommend also using another alarm, such as your device's built-in alarm.
- This section does not apply to damages caused by the Developer's willful misconduct or gross negligence, and does not limit rights you have under consumer protection law.
7. Changes to or discontinuation of the service
The Developer may change the App's features or discontinue the service. If the service is discontinued, notice will be given in the App or on this page. Subscription periods already paid for are handled under Apple's or Google's policies.
8. Changes to these Terms
If these Terms change, the updated Terms and their effective date will be posted on this page. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the changes.
9. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes will first be addressed through consultation via the contact below; if unresolved, they will be settled in the court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
